The Mortgage Bankers Association is governed by a 21-person Board of Directors that is responsible for the general management of the affairs of the association. The interests of commercial/multifamily and residential members are represented separately through two governing boards, the Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Board of Governors (COMBOG) and the Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG). They exercise the duties and authorities delegated by the Board of Directors at its discretion. Both COMBOG and RESBOG have a number of committees reporting into them that focus on business and advocacy issues specific to each industry segment.
