Register Today for Mortgage Bankers Association's (MBA) 2007 National Mortgage Servicing Conference& Expo-- 'Ride the Wave
of Opportunity'
This exciting conference covers all sectors of the servicing arena, from customer retention to reducing foreclosures and REO.
Discover new ways to increase operating efficiencies, gain insight on the latest legal, legislative and regulatory developments,
while networking with key industry players, at the 2007 Servicing Conference.
Session topics include:
- Opening General Session - The Lost Ships of Robert Ballard: Listen as keynote speaker, Dr. Robert Ballard, deep sea explorer, discoverer of the Titanic, and President and founder of
the Institute for Exploration talks about his sea explorations and adventures from over the years.
- FHA/VA/GNMA Update: Hear from government officials as they discuss the latest changes and proposals to FHA, VA, and Ginnie Mae programs that
impact servicing operations. Some of the issues addressed include the status of VAs, loss mitigation, FHA's M&M contracting,
Treble Damages, the Accelerated Claim Disposition Program, and Ginnie Mae's documentation streamlining, new reporting requirements
and new pool types.
- Foreclosure Update: This session covers a number of issues surrounding foreclosures including mortgage fraud and identity theft, the impact of
foreclosure filings, management of foreclosure and working with community groups and counseling.
- The Art of Servicing New Loan Products: Join our panel of industry professionals in a discussion of innovative techniques and strategies for servicing new loan products,
including systems and technology support, proper notification to consumers on payment choices, heightened performance reporting
demands, delinquency and loss mitigation management, and other related topics.
- Reg AB-Insights and Lessons Learned for Year One Reporting: With the conclusion of the first full year of Regulation AB, many servicers now find themselves gearing up for their first
section 1122 and servicer assertion reporting. This session will focus on providing servicers the most recent Regulation AB
information and will include a discussion on various implementation issues facing the mortgage industry in adopting Reg AB.
- Disaster Recovery and Property Insurance Post Katrina: This session explores the industry's best practices for disaster recovery and CDBG grant programs. In addition, it will address
the status of property insurance in the wake of unprecedented claims on the insurance industry and the impact on the availability
of hazard insurance.
