MBA analysis of the Federal Reserve Board's Flow of Funds Data. The Flow of Funds data, which is released quarterly, provides time series information on the aggregate holdings of commercial and multifamily mortgages by different investor groups, as well as the net flow of funds into and out of mortgages by those investors. The analysis is generally released three months after the end of the quarter.
