
Applicants must meet the following criteria at a minimum:
be employed by an MBA member firm or state MBA member firm, or have your company submit a Participating Employer Affidavit prior to application submission
have been working in the mortgage industry for a minimum of two years, or have broad experience in a related field with some focus in housing finance, or have education related to the mortgage industry
receive a written recommendation from management on company letterhead
be committed to pursuing a career in real estate finance
provide a one-page essay describing how the scholarship can enhance your career, the company, and service to the community, as well as addressing the under-represented group or community you represent
provide a current resume
submit an application form along with all required materials to the Path to Diversity program coordinator prior to the deadline
Scholarship recipients benefit by receiving a CampusMBA educational voucher for $2,000. Scholars are eligible for up to three awards. It is expected that a first-time award be used for participation in the School of Mortgage Banking Course I; scholarship must be used within 12 months of award. Travel and lodging are not included. Scholarship recipients can allocate the $2,000 for any of the following programs, courses or product offerings:
- School of Mortgage Banking (SOMB), Courses I or II*
- Classroom-Based Programs , including
- Regulatory Compliance Institute
- Commercial School of Mortgage Banking
- Commercial Loan Origination 101, 201, or 301
- Mortgage Fraud Awareness Workshop
- Underwriting University
- CampusMBA distance learning courses, including
NOTE: The cost of registration, lodging and travel are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.
*Those scholarship recipients who have successfully completed SOMB Course I and II and receive a scholarship to attend course III will receive a voucher covering the additional registration cost of SOMB III.
