Program’s levels of membership are conducive to member interests.
Whether you just want to send a letter to your legislators or build
close, personal relationships with lawmakers and their staffs, CAP
ensures that your voice is heard and the industry is well represented on
Capitol Hill.
Levels of Activism
To fulfill CAP’s two goals (constant communication and long-term
relationships with policymakers), you can
join one of three levels of
membership.
Activist: The Activist level is the fundamental base of the
CAP program that ensures legislators consistently hear from MBA. MBA
e-mail Action Alerts prompt you to take action on an important issue or
upcoming vote by writing, e-mailing or calling your legislators. In
addition, you attend legislative lobbying meetings with other CAP
members.

Super-Activist: CAP Super-Activists take political activism
one step further. As a Super-Activist, you not only take part in
Activist level activities, you also organize and attend meetings with
legislators’ staffs to promote your company and the industry’s interests
and help to recruit other members.

MBA’s GO-TO Members: MBA’s GO-TO members are the face of MBA
to the legislator. MBA can count on you to build personal relationships
with lawmakers and their staffs by conducting regular meetings to
discuss legislation and issues important to MBA and our industry. You
are in close contact with MBA’s legislative team to coordinate lobbying
strategies. You also serve as a key contact if MBA decides to host
events in your area.
